I am totally at my wit's end with Equifax. I have been trying to get my first credit report but keep getting this feedback: "Equifax cannot provide you with a credit report [this way], try [this way]." I have not been able to get one online, with an Equifax representative, or with an automated Equifax service. It is sooooo impossible to speak to a human being from this damn company!! I'm pretty sure it's just a numerical error in my personal information that is preventing them from giving me personal information, but I JUST WISH THEY WOULD TELL ME HOW TO SORT OUT THIS ISSUE!!!
Which brings me to my question. Has anyone visited Equifax at Yonge & Sheppard? Are there human beings there? Can I just bring all my identification info and they can verify my identity and give me my credit report?
A friend went there over a year ago and said this can be taken care of there. However I'm not sure if this is the case. The Equifax website has no reference to such an office (they only repeatedly list their automated phone # as a response to any problem).
Thanks to anyone who can help. I'd need to take a day off work to go down to Yonge & Sheppard so any info would really make my day. :-)
